The other church of the Sulkava parish is located in Lohikoski. Built on a high hill in 1934, the church was designed by architect Ilmari Wirkkala. The altarpiece and the paintings on the gallery’s railing are also his handwork. The wood carving of the pulpit was made by academician Tapio Wirkkala. The church can accommodate about 250 people.
A service is held in the church about once a month and in July, there is a weekly evening mass. In addition, there is a service on All Saints’ Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Morning, Holy Thursday and Easter.
